Summer Season Wrap-up

As the Summer 2011 season has drawn to a close, the accomplishments of the PrimeTime Power Penguins are the best in the program’s history. The Penguins, as one of the premier select lacrosse teams in the region, competed all summer long against some of the top teams from across the nation. Led by its dedicated coaching staff, the Penguins traveled across New England and beyond to play alongside their teammates in an incredible summer lacrosse experience.

The U-11 Power Penguins team made several impressive showings throughout the summer, including an undefeated record in pool play at the Bryant Bulldog Classic. Most importantly, through the team’s weekly practices that focused on fundamentals, these younger players developed the skills that will take them to the next level as they continue through the Penguins program.

Already in the thick of the college recruiting process, the high school Penguins competed against teams from New York to as far as Florida. With the guidance of the PrimeTime staff, including numerous collegiate and high school coaches, these Penguins left impressive marks during their summer campaign. Likewise, the PrimeTime U-15 teams, coached by PrimeTime founders Tyler Low and Jason Wellemayer as well as Jack Piatelli, also capped off a great summer. The teams faced some of the best teams in the northeast and prepared themselves well for the high school program.

The U-13 Penguins Blue team simply dominated its opponents all summer long. After winning the PrimeTime Warrior Shootout in thrilling fashion over the NH Tomahawks, the Power Penguins Blue team went on to win the Bulldog Classic at Bryant University. Led by coaches Bussy Adam and Keith Campbell, amassed an impressive record of wins against New England rivals NESLL and the NH Tomahawks. Similarly, the U-13 Orange team realized great success as it continually made tournament playoff rounds. With both teams at the U-13 level finishing an impressive summer, the future is bright for these talented players and the Penguins program as a whole.

Across all age divisions, from youth to high school, the Penguins program achieved outstanding results. Congratulations to all our Penguins players and thank you parents and coaches for a memorable summer of lacrosse!
